Michelle joined Eden Dental in July 2023. She graduated from AUT in 2022 with a degree in Oral Health Therapy. This means she is dual qualified as a Hygienist and an Oral Health Therapist. Since graduating she has locumed in several practices around Auckland before joining Eden Dental Centre in a permanent role. Michelle really enjoys her profession and the interaction with our patients. She enjoys helping patients feel more at ease in the chair, especially those that are nervous or may have had a bad experience in the past. There are a variety of options she can offer you to keep the treatments as comfortable as possible. She listens and explains the treatments that are needed giving the patients time to ask questions. Her passion, satisfaction and enjoyment come from seeing the improvements in her patient’s oral health. She really enjoys being a part of the Eden Dental Team and we value her input. She is really enjoying the EMS Airflow cleaner - wonderful technology for painless stain removal which leaves your teeth and gums feeling amazing. Michelle hails from South Korea. She worked in banking there before immigrating to New Zealand with her husband and 2 young children. On arrival here she worked as a chef and then as a dental assistant for the DHB. This is where she developed an interest in oral health which motivated her to apply for the Oral Therapy degree. She completed this as an adult student while juggling the needs of a young family and also managed to work part time in the evenings. Her time management skills and dedication are impressive. Her 2 children are now in primary and high school. Her spare time is dedicated to her family and another passion - cooking. Michelle is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8am to 4pm.
