COVID-19 Alert Level 4 Update: Eden Dental Available for Dental Emergencies Only

Posted by:

We are closed under the level 4 lockdown. Please call our landline, 09 373 5141, for advice if you are a current patient of the practice. If you are not a patient but need emergency treatment please call The Tooth Company, Mission Bay on (09) 521 2021  or The Tooth Company, Takapuna on (09) 410 9971.

As you may be aware, the Prime Minister has just announced that we are now at Level 3 and about to go to Level 4 regarding the COVID-19 pandemic. This means that there is heightened risk that the disease is not contained. At this level, non-essential businesses have to close.

As an oral health practitioner we have a new directive from The Ministry of Health and New Zealand Dental Council as of March 22nd 2020 that highly recommends the suspension of “all non-essential and elective dental services” because of the high risk of transmission posed by working in the oral cavity and generating aerosol.

We believe that the health and wellbeing of our community, including patients and staff, must take precedence at times like these and we must do our part to reduce the risk of community transmission however we can. We are therefore following the above directive and limiting our  practice services to provide treatment only for dental emergencies (severe pain, trauma, bleeding and swelling)

For you, this means any upcoming appointments with us are postponed until further notice. At this stage there is no definitive date that we can resume practicing so we will be in contact with a rescheduled appointment when it is safe for us to do so.

Although a delay in treatment can be frustrating, this is an unforeseen development and we deeply regret any inconvenience this may cause. We will continue to update you as new developments regarding your treatment arise and endeavour to continue your treatment as soon as we can, but strongly believe that we must delay in the interests of the health and safety of our community.

Thank you for your understanding at this time.

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, concerns, or feel that you are experiencing a dental emergency:

Patients of Dr Lisa Wadsworth call 021 234 7577
Patients of Dr Tania Stuart call 027 448 3925

Stay safe and we will get through this together.

Sincerely,
Lisa, Tania and the team at Eden Dental Centre Ltd
